Is a boy or a girl - Should I Watch My Diet?

Hey guys,

Recently I read this question posted online.

The person who asked had read one of the articles which discussed acidic and alkaline foods in your diet depending on which gender you are trying to conceive.

This person wife was trying to get pregnant and asked if this meant that his caloric intake should be increase or restrict.

She had other questions like whether she should avoid junk food or not, whether she should avoid things like chocolate or coffee, and whether there was a specific amount of calories that she should strive to meet each day.

They address these concerns in the following.

You Should Not Limit Your Calories If You Are Trying To Become Pregnant: (This Is True If You Want A Girl Baby Or A Boy Baby:) There is a pretty well known study which suggests that women who consume more calories and breakfast were more likely to have boys.

I believe that the study was not nearly specific enough to go out like this, that these results mean that you limit your calories if you want a girl.

There are so many variables that go into which gender you get and foods are only one small part of this.

Moreover, it is important to remember that pregnancy and maintaining a healthy pregnancy is a tough job for the body.

This is why you are so tired when you first become pregnant and why your body does things like not shed hair nearly as much when it’s trying to conserve it’s reserves during pregnancy.

To this end, it certainly needs fuel to help with these processes.

It’s my opinion that conception and pregnancy are times when you don’t want to limit your food intake.

Sure, you can concentrate dense foods and healthy eating, but make sure you eat enough of it.

I cringe when people tell me that they want to diet when they are trying to get pregnant or during their pregnancy.

I know you are on diet to avoid weight gain, but this is a time when your body needs all the care you can give.

It’s certainly not the time to deprive your body of what it needs. Like the food we (not the lack of them) affect whether you eat a boy or a girl, I often discuss an acidic food, if you a girl (but only while you are trying to get pregnant) and an alkaline diet if you want a boy.

Never have I suggested that you should limit the amounts of food that you are eating and I really want for this to be clear. You are certainly allowed and encouraged to eat the foods that correspond with each of which gender you want.

As far as the questions about the coffee and the junk food go, my advice is going to be that no foods are off limits if you don’t care about which gender you end up with. (I can say that the chocolate would do in the category of food boy (strongly alkaline) and falling coffee would be encouraged to do the girl food category. ) If you do care whether you get a boy or a girl, then you would want to stick with acidic foods (if you favor a female conception) and alkaline foods (if you favor a male conception. )

But, very generally speaking, most meats, cheeses, and eggs tend toward acid while the vegetables and fruits do not (although there are always exceptions like corn. ) Now for junk food, fats, butter and sugar will usually regarded as neutral.

So a few of these things here and there aren’t likely going to ruin everything. (Although attention is on nutritionally dense foods is always a good idea. ) I know that some people will go so far as to test themselves with PH testers after they eat anything just so they know how their favorite foods affect them.

Thus our attention of food and nutrition for a second: I know this article was about what you eat, but as I mentioned, there are many variables involved, especially in terms of natural selection between the sexes.

You can also make small changes in your timing (early intercourse for girls and late intercourse for boys) as well as the positions that you use when you try to conceive. Of course the best thing to try what is to address all of these things, but if you choose not to, every little things help.
